		The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas is a Way-place that maintains the Proper Dharma in the world. It is the source of Buddhism in the world, and also the place to which the world's Buddhism returns. It is a lighthouse for Buddhism in the world, dispelling the darkness in the minds of living beings and causing them to advance towards Bodhi with pure and bright minds.

		The City of Ten Thousand Buddhas is a Way-place for the propagation of the Proper Dharma. For this reason its residents honor the Buddha's regulations in everything they say and do. The left-home people eat only one meal a day (at midday), do not lie down at night, and always wear their precept sash. The people at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas have all made the Bodhi resolve and diligently practice the Way. Since the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas maintains the Proper Dharma in the world, it is protected by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions. It weathers every storm and always come out victorious. It will always be around.
								If you are able not to fight, not to be greedy, not to seek, not to be selfish, not to pursue personal advantage, and not to lie, then the Proper Dharma will dwell in the world.
