The simple Buddha Hall in the Abbot's quarters. Discarded mattresses from the former hospital were used as bowing cushions. The Venerable Master upheld this tradition of simplicity and frugality throughout his life.
Five Contemplations Dining Hall
In the fall of 1982, the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas constructed the large Five Contemplations Dining Hall.
When I take my food,

I vow that all living beings

Will take the bliss of Dhyana as food

And be filled with the joy of the Dharma.
The ceremony for opening the light.
